Orange Street in Abermain has officially reopened to traffic following a significant $4 million reconstruction project. Launched in January 2024, the project included the widening of the road, installation of new drainage systems, kerb and gutter improvements, and enhanced signage. The reconstruction also features a brand-new road surface, promising a smoother and safer drive for motorists.
Thanks to the efforts of the Works & Operations crew and contractors, the road reopened several weeks ahead of schedule. Although final touches, such as the installation of a new retaining wall near the playing fields, will be completed in the coming weeks, Orange Street is now accessible to drivers.
