Maitland City Council is refurbishing the War Memorial at Morpeth, in front of the Morpeth Museum.
The restoration of the monument includes cleaning, stabilising and renewing the original lettering by hand.
The Sydney sandstone memorial was unveiled in 1921 to commemorate those from the area who served in World War One. It has more recently been under the watchful eye of the Morpeth ANZAC Day Committee who partnered with us to source the funding for the work.
The project has been jointly funded by NSW Office of Veteran Affairs.
