Beaumont Street in Hamilton has been closed to traffic following a collision earlier today, just before the afternoon peak, causing significant disruptions near the busy Hamilton Train Station. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11:35 am on Thursday, 26 September 2024, after reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Beaumont and Hudson Streets. Police reported that a car, driven by a 66-year-old man, allegedly struck a 73-year-old pedestrian.
