Early this morning, at 5:29 am, emergency crews were called to a major house fire on Greta Street in Cessnock. Upon arrival, firefighters found the house fully engulfed in flames, with the status of any occupants initially unknown.
Firefighters quickly launched a defensive attack and were able to conduct a thorough search of the property. Thankfully, it was confirmed that the house was vacant, and no individuals were found inside. Crews continued their efforts to extinguish the blaze while also protecting nearby homes from the spreading fire.
Emergency services, including the police, who managed road closures and traffic control, and paramedics, provided crucial support on the scene. A huge thank you to all the teams involved for their quick response and dedication to keeping the community safe.
