A resident from East Maitland has reported a disturbing incident after CCTV footage captured a man lurking in her backyard in the early hours of the morning. The footage, recorded at around 2:30 AM, shows the suspect in the yard for approximately 30 to 40 seconds before leaving.
The individual reportedly returned the following morning at around 9:30 AM, this time armed with what the homeowner believes to be a key coder, in an attempt to break into her garage.
The resident, who has already contacted the police and provided the footage, urged anyone with information to come forward. “If anyone has seen or knows this person, please hand them in,” the homeowner wrote in a Facebook post.
Local authorities are investigating the incident, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
