Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Inverell
A man has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the state’s northwest.
Around 9:50 a.m. today (Monday, August 26, 2024), emergency services were called to Warialda Road, south of Yetman, approximately 118 km north of Inverell, after reports of a motorcycle crash.
Upon arrival, officers from the New England Police District discovered that the rider, a 70-year-old man, had been thrown from his motorcycle. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Formal identification is yet to take place.
A crime scene has been established, and investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
