News Update:
A body, believed to be that of the young boy who went missing at The Entrance, has been located this afternoon.
The boy was reported missing around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, 3 November 2024, after being swept into the ocean while attempting to cross The Entrance Channel. Since then, emergency services have conducted an extensive multi-agency search, which continued into today.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 6 November 2024, emergency responders were called back to The Entrance following reports of a body found in the water. While formal identification is still pending, authorities believe it to be the missing boy. A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
