Devastating news emerged yesterday as the body of a teenage boy was tragically discovered at Angourie Green Pool, a popular waterhole south of Yamba. Emergency services were called around 3pm on Sunday, January 14th, following reports of a missing swimmer after jumping from a rock ledge.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District, along with Surf Lifesavers, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, and police divers, launched a comprehensive search operation. Sadly, after several hours, the missing boy, identified as a 15-year-old, was located at approximately 10pm.
