CHANGES TO VISITING THE NICU AT JOHN HUNTER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

CHANGES TO VISITING THE NICU AT JOHN HUNTER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

From today as a precautionary response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NICU at the Children’s Hospital in Newcastle will be restricting visitors to best protect the very sick and premature babies the NICU is caring for.

This will mean only parents will be able to visit their baby/babies.

Siblings, extended family and friends will not be able to visit the NICU.

These visiting changes are temporary, however will remain in place during the pandemic in an effort to protect this vulnerable group of babies.

Visiting changes will also occur for oncology patients at the Children’s Hospital in the next week. Further details on these changes will soon be announced.
