East Gosford Crash Claims Life of Female Driver

Tragic news has emerged from East Gosford following a multi-vehicle crash on Monday, 20 March 2023, which has claimed the life of a 70-year-old woman. The incident occurred at approximately 10:50 am on The Entrance Road, where a BMW heading west collided with a Mazda 2 and a Ford Ranger travelling east.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to find the Mazda driver trapped inside her vehicle. They worked tirelessly to free her before airlifting her to the Royal North Shore Hospital, where she remained in a critical condition until she passed away yesterday, Wednesday, 22 March 2023.

The BMW driver, a 71-year-old man, sustained various injuries and was taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing. The Ford driver, a 51-year-old, was taken to the hospital as a precaution but has since been released.

Officers attached to Brisbane Waters Police District established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
