Firefighters say the inferno was still not under control in the early hours, with multiple crews battling the intense blaze. Despite the scale of the incident, all workers at the refinery have been accounted for. (News.com.au)

The facility is one of just two remaining oil refineries in Australia, supplying roughly half of Victoria’s fuel and about 10% of the nation’s total — raising concerns about potential impacts on fuel supply. (News.com.au)

The cause of the fire remains unknown and will be investigated once the situation is brought under control. (Herald Sun)

Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation as the emergency unfolds.
