Emergency services responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Lansdowne Road, Cundletown, at 9:32 PM last night.
Taree Rescue Squad, alongside NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, and the NSW RFS, arrived at the scene to find a single vehicle had veered off the road and crashed into a tree, initially trapping four occupants.
Three people were freed and treated by paramedics, while a fourth occupant was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. Rescue operators assisted forensic police before recovering the deceased from the wreckage.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
