Around 2am this morning emergency services received multiple 000 calls reporting a block of units were on fire in Rutherford near Maitland. Upon arrival the fire crews found one unit fully engulfed in flames.
The fire than spread to two more units on the second floor. The fire was upgraded to a 3rd alarm structure fire with multiple units responding to the incident.
Fire crews said all occuppants of the units had self evacuated from the units.
One unit was fully destroyed whilst a second was badly damaged in the incident.
