Emergency services responded to the Hunter Wetlands after fire alarms were activated upon arrival crews were confronted with a large shed fire. The sheds contained tractors, paints, landscaping equipment and other flammable items.
Crews spent an hour and a half battling the flames before gaining the upper hand and the scene was deemed safe. Two crews stayed on scene over night to monitor any flare ups.
According to ABC Newcastle the fire is being treated as suspicious.
