Local residents considering a role as a Cessnock City Councillor are invited to attend one of two candidate information sessions on Wednesday, June 26. The sessions will be held at 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, in preparation for the upcoming local government elections later this year.
Cessnock City Council General Manager Ken Liddell encourages anyone interested in standing for Council to attend. “The candidate information sessions will cover the role and responsibilities of being a local councillor, expectations during a term on Council, and details about the upcoming election,” said Mr. Liddell.
