
Investigation Underway After Aggravated Break and Enter in Wallsend
Police have launched an investigation following an aggravated break and enter that left a man injured in Newcastle overnight. Emergency services were called to a hotel on Nelson Street, Wallsend, around 2:30 AM after reports that a group of men had forced entry into the business. The intruders stole keys and attempted to take cash before being confronted by a man, who was then assaulted. The offenders fled the scene in a dark-coloured sedan. Officers from Newcastle City Police District arrived to find a 25-year-old man with a head laceration. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to John Hunter...
