Police are investigating reports of gunfire in Elermore Vale early this morning. Around 4 AM, residents reported hearing two gunshots outside a home on Lake Road. Authorities responded to the scene, and while Lake Road has since been reopened, investigations remain ongoing. In a separate incident, police tape is in place at the corner of Tyrrell Street and Nelson Street in Wallsend, with Tyrrell Street currently blocked off. At this stage, there is no indication that the two incidents are connected. Motorists and residents are advised to avoid both areas while investigations continue....
