Cyber experts are warning that Chinese-made cars are spying on the vehicle owners and possibly sending data back to China.
New, modern smart cars are tracking your every drive, including where you go, where you live, where you eat and even who you are calling and can possibly record your phone calls without you knowing.
The Chinese government passed a law back in 2017 stating that all companies must comply with requests from its intelligence agencies and pass on information in a covert way without the customer’s knowledge.
This could be very problematic for people who value privacy, politicians, journalists and activists who speak out against the Chinese government.
Chinese companies have purchased brands like Volo, Lotus and MG, which are well-established brands you would not associate with being a Chinese-made car.
