A man and woman are facing serious charges following a harrowing alleged shooting and kidnapping in the Mid North Coast’s Bago State Forest.
The ordeal unfolded around 7:10 AM on Sunday, November 17, when police were called to Rollover Road in Bago State Forest over concerns for a man’s welfare. Officers arrived to find a 32-year-old man suffering gunshot wounds to his arms and legs. Paramedics treated him at the scene before rushing him to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Initial investigations revealed the man was allegedly kidnapped by three people in Port Macquarie and taken to Bago Forest, where he was shot.
A crime scene was established, with detectives recovering bullet casings and launching Strike Force Parham to crack the case.
In a major breakthrough, a 38-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were arrested in Barradonia, Western Australia, on Thursday, November 21. Police also seized a loaded sawn-off rifle during a vehicle search.
The woman was extradited to NSW on Monday, November 25, and charged with multiple offences, including kidnapping, attempted murder, and possession of an illegal firearm. She was refused bail and will appear in Port Macquarie Local Court on December 5.
The 25-year-old man was extradited yesterday, November 26, and has been charged with similar offences. He was refused bail and is due to face Downing Centre Local Court today.
