Update: Machete Threat Case Against Todd Ryan Pearce
Todd Ryan Pearce, the 27-year-old man accused of threatening his ex-partner with a machete in Morisset, appeared via video link in Toronto Local Court today. Pearce faces multiple serious charges related to a domestic violence incident on September 6, 2024. The charges include:

- Stalking/intimidating with intent to cause fear of physical or mental harm (Domestic)
- Common assault (Domestic)
- Aggravated break and enter with intent to commit a serious indictable offense while people were present
- Being armed with intent to commit an indictable offense
The incident unfolded when Pearce allegedly broke into his former partner’s home on Bridge Street, Morisset, and threatened to kill her while wielding a machete. After the victim managed to contact authorities, police apprehended Pearce at a different location shortly thereafter.
During today’s brief hearing, the court confirmed that Pearce’s bail had been revoked due to multiple breaches of bail conditions. The court proceedings, led by Police Prosecutor Sgt. McIlveen, saw Pearce represented by Ms. Pervan via video conference. Pearce, who remains in custody, has been denied bail due to the seriousness of the charges.
