In a significant development, Macquarie Bank has officially informed its customers that it will cease processing cheques, halt cash deposits and withdrawals at its branches, and discontinue telephone banking services starting from November 2024. This move underscores the bank’s commitment to a complete transition to digital payments.
Additionally, Macquarie Bank will conclude its partnership with NAB branches as part of this transformation. However, customers will still retain the option to withdraw cash from ATMs, ensuring continued access to physical currency when needed.
