A man has been charged following an alleged shooting outside a home on the state’s Central Coast.
Emergency services were called to Thomas Mitchell Road in Killarney Vale just after 9.15am on Sunday (1 March 2026) following reports that shots had been fired.
Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District were told a 27-year-old man allegedly fired multiple shots at a 30-year-old man outside the home before leaving the scene in a vehicle.
Seven other people – including a woman in her 30s and six children – were nearby at the time. No injuries were reported.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, officers attended a unit block on Coral Street at The Entrance, where they arrested the 27-year-old man inside a unit.
Search warrants were executed at two units, with police allegedly seizing a firearm, ammunition and other items.
The man was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with:
- Shoot at with intent to murder
- Possess loaded firearm endanger life (not public)
- Possess unregistered firearm – pistol
- Possess unauthorised firearm
- Firearm etc found at premises – subject to prohibition order
He was refused bail and is due to appear before Bail Court Division 6 today (Monday 2 March 2026).
