Singleton, NSW – Police have identified 22-year-old Reece Robertson as the man accused of holding two teenage girls against their will for up to 10 hours in what investigators describe as a disturbing case of social media deception and sexual violence.
Authorities allege Robertson contacted one of the victims online while lying about his age, eventually convincing her to meet in person. Once the encounter took place, he is accused of sexually assaulting her twice before keeping both girls captive for an extended period.
The ordeal ended when Robertson was arrested by police in Singleton. He remains in custody as investigators work to determine the full extent of the allegations.
Detectives are urging parents and young social media users to remain vigilant about online interactions, emphasizing that predators often use false identities to exploit victims.
Ongoing Investigation
Police have not ruled out the possibility of additional victims and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
More details to be released as the investigation continues.
