A man is in critical condition after a single vehicle crash in Pokolbin. Around 6am emergency crews, including Cessnock district rescue squad responded to reports of a person trapped.
Upon arriving on scene emergency crews were faced with a single vehicle collision with a male occupant trapped inside.
The rescue was made even more challenging as the driver had a large piece of timber impaled through his upper body.
the man was flown by helicopter to hospital in a critical condition.
