A 35-year-old man is set to appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court today, facing charges related to a series of property offences. This follows an investigation by the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District.
The investigation, led by detectives under Strike Force Weemala, was initiated earlier this year in response to multiple alleged break and enter offences in the region.
At approximately 9am on Tuesday, 2 July 2024, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Ridgeway Close in Karuah. During the search, officers reportedly seized several stolen items, including tools and vehicle parts.
The man was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling in company to steal, one count of aggravated break and enter dwelling in company with intent to steal, and one count of receiving motor vehicle parts theft.
He was refused bail and will face court today, Wednesday, 3 July 2024.
