A man has died following a crash involving three motorcycles in the Hunter region this morning.
Emergency services were called to Great North Road at Wollombi about 10:40am on Sunday, 6 April 2025, after reports of a serious collision.
On arrival, officers from the Hunter Valley Police District found three motorcycles had collided. One of the riders, a man aged in his 40s, tragically died at the scene despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics.
Two other riders – men aged 39 and 36 – were treated for leg and chest injuries and transported to John Hunter Hospital in stable condition.
A crime scene has been established and investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
