Newcastle Ocean Baths will be closed for the rest of this week.
Newcastle City Council has been forced to close the ocean baths for the rest of the week as dangerous surf conditions are preventing staff from performing necessary cleaning of the ocean baths.
Newcastle council had apologised in a statement made on their Facebook Page yesterday afternoon.
Challenging surf conditions and large tides are making it unsafe for staff to access the water channel between the baths and the ocean and complete the necessary cleaning process.
We apologise for the inconvenience. We’ll provide further updates via our social media channels and website.
Updates will be posted on the Newcastle City Council Facebook page. But for now it will remain closed and likely remain this way till the end of the week.
