BREAKING NEWS ALERT: Cessnock Council Confirms Replacement of Pool Hall Roof Insulation at Kurri Kurri Aquatic Centre, Temporary Closure of Pool
The local council has announced the replacement of the pool hall roof insulation, which is expected to greatly improve the centre’s facilities. However, this will result in the temporary closure of the pool starting from Monday 27th March 2023 until Saturday 8th April 2023, subject to weather conditions during the period.
As a result of the closure, all Learn to Swim lessons, Aqua classes, Squad Training and Recreational swimming will be cancelled for the duration of the works. Aquatic and Learn to Swim memberships will be automatically suspended, while full access memberships will remain active unless arranged for suspension through reception prior to the closure period.
Although the gym and reception area will remain open, they will operate on reduced hours from 9am to 5pm daily. During the first week of the closure, showers and change rooms on the pool deck will not be accessible, but toilets are available within the car park. Showers and change rooms will reopen in the second week of the closure.
