Two passengers who returned to Sydney on Saturday night have tested positive to the new variant.
The flight was carrying 260 passengers and crew, which 14 passengers had traveled through South Africa. Two of those 14 have returned positive Covid- tested and Genome Sequencing has confirmed they are infected with the new Omicron variant.
Both passengers have been placed in Hotel Quarantine along with 12 other passengers, the rest of the passengers and crew are being treated as close contacts and must Isolate at home.
Both positive cases are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
