A Cessnock man presented to Maitland hospital with minor stab wounds after allegedly being attacked near his home at Cessnock.
The victim reported that he was riding his trail bike in bushland adjacent to Alkira Avenue around 12 midday on the 13/01/21 when he was attacked by three unknown males.
The male sustained stab wounds to the abdomen and arm, during this assault he was then hit in the back of the head with an unknown object causing him to lose consciousness.
The man was able to return to him home to his father and a friend has taken him to Maitland hospital for treatment. Enquiries are continuing in an effort to identify the assailants.
