In a major bust, Raptor Squad officers have charged a 26-year-old man following a probe into the sale of illegal tobacco on the Central Coast.
Around 6:10 PM yesterday (Thursday, 21 November 2024), officers raided a home in Booker Bay. During the search, they uncovered a staggering $833,025 in cash, suspected to be proceeds of crime, alongside steroids and Xanax.
The man was arrested on the spot and taken to Gosford Police Station. He now faces charges of knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and two counts of possessing restricted substances.
The accused was denied bail and is set to appear in Gosford Local Court today (Friday, 22 November 2024).
