Around 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, Wallsend Fire and Rescue were called to a single-vehicle crash on Newcastle Link Road in Wallsend. Upon arrival, crews found a white Toyota hatchback overturned on the side of the road, surrounded by debris. Firefighters secured the area while the male driver received treatment from NSW Ambulance and was subsequently transported to the hospital for further care.
