
Teenage Boy Dies in Cessnock House Fire
A tragic house fire in Cessnock has claimed the life of a teenage boy. Emergency services were called to Alkira Avenue around 10pm last night (Sunday, 28 July 2024) following reports of a fire. Fire and Rescue NSW crews extinguished the blaze, but the house suffered extensive damage. A 16-year-old boy inside the property was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but unfortunately died at the scene. Hunter Valley Police District officers attended, established a crime scene, and are investigating the incident. A report will be prepared for the Coroner....
