Kia has been forced to recall thousands of cars sold nation wide after a software glitch has been found which could result in the car overheating and catching on fire.
Kia Australia has said the recall affects its Sportage mid-size SUV and Sorento seven-seat SUV vehicles. The safety recall includes the 2015 to 2021 SUVs for the Sportage and 2014 to 2020 for the Sorento.
These vehicles are very popular and tens of thousands of them have been sold nation wide, Kia has said drivers should not drivd their vehicles until the software has been updated.
