Three teens charged and released on bail

Three young people have been arrested by detectives after an investigation into alleged break and enters in Tanilba Bay between Saturday 31 December 2022 and Wednesday 4 January 2023.


Following extensive inquiries, police attached to Port Stephens Hunter Police District arrested a 14-year-old boy about 5pm, Wednesday 4 January 2023, at Raymond Terrace.

He was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

On Thursday 5 January 2023, police arrested two boys, aged 14 and 15, in the Port Stephens area.

The younger boy was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

The older boy was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, and take and drive in conveyance without consent of owner.

All teenagers were granted conditional bail to appear before a Children’s Court on Wednesday 11 January 2023.
