Wespac Helicopter makes emergency landing near Belmont

At around 9:30pm last night the Westpac Helicopter 3 ran into engine problems mid flight and made a non vertical landing.

The helicopter was transporting a patient from Somersby to John Hunter Hospital but instead ran into engine problems near Belmont.

The pilot was able to maintaining holding pattern whilst emergency services scrambled to its location for an emergency landing.

The pilot was able to bring down the helicopter with a non vertical landing.

All crew members and patient were not injured in the landing.

The patient was then transported by ambulance to the John Hunter Hospital.
