A toddler has died after being hit by a car in a driveway at Lake Macquarie. Just before 2.30pm today (Monday 15 August 2022), emergency services were called to Rosemary Row, Rathmines, after reports a toddler had been hit by a vehicle in a driveway. Upon arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics commenced treating the 22-month-old, however the child died at the scene. Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District attended and established a crime scene. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.
