Truck Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash -Hunter Valley

Singleton, Hunter Valley – Thursday, 9 April 2026

A truck driver has died after his vehicle crashed into a tree and rolled down a steep embankment near Singleton this morning.

Emergency services were called to Mirannie Road, Mirannie, just before 9:00 am following reports of the incident. Hunter Valley Police District officers found that a garbage truck had left the roadway before hitting a tree.

The male driver, believed to be in his 40s, has not yet been formally identified. Police have established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
