News Update:
This morning around 6am, crews from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 202 Abermain and Station 344 Kearsley responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident. One person was trapped in the accident but did not sustain major injuries. The Cessnock District Rescue Squad (VRA Rescue NSW) arrived and used their rescue equipment to extricate the individual. NSW Ambulance monitored the trapped person and later transported them to the hospital as a precaution.
The NSW Police Force blocked one lane of traffic to ensure the safety of all emergency service workers on the scene. A special thanks goes to the road users in Abermain for quickly and orderly moving over to the left, which greatly facilitated the safe arrival of emergency services.
