About 4.20am on Sunday 1 January 2023, emergency services were called to Myee Place at Blue Haven where they found two men with gunshot wounds. Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and were told the two men – aged 50 and 27 – were shot while driving into the carpark of an oval on Colorado Street; however, they managed to continue driving to Myee Place where they alerted emergency services. Both men were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
