The Port Stephens Hunter Police District has issued a plea for help from the public to locate 18-year-old Derek Green, who was reported missing after leaving his home in Rutherford on the evening of March 10th, 2023.
Derek is known to frequent the suburbs of Newcastle and Merewether, and police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward. He is not in trouble, and police simply wish to confirm his safety and well-being.
The police have been actively searching for Derek, but so far, their efforts have been in vain. They are now calling on the community to assist them in their efforts to find the missing teenager.
Anyone who has seen Derek or has any information about his current location is urged to contact the Maitland Police Station immediately on 02 49340200 or to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The police are treating this matter with the utmost urgency, and they are asking the public to come forward with any information that may assist in locating Derek as soon as possible.
