Federal MP Bob Katter has urged Australians to throw eggs at mainstream politicians during a pro-Australia, anti-immigration march set for 31 August.
In the video, Mr Katter says, “If there is a member of the mainstream parties there, throw eggs at them, please. Throw something at them. They have no right to march. They have sold out country here.”
The outspoken MP accused both Labor and Liberal of undermining Australia’s future through high immigration rates, claiming that “92 percent” of new arrivals over the past 12 years have moved to Sydney and Melbourne, where jobs are scarce.
He said manufacturing had declined, with “all of the processing plants” and “all of the factories” gone, forcing many Australians to rely on the public purse. Mr Katter argued that bringing migrants into areas with few job opportunities placed further strain on taxpayers.
Describing the issue as “wartime,” he revealed his party had drafted legislation to stop migration, giving decision-making power to what he called an authority representing “the Australian people and not the narrow interests of political parties based in cities.”
The comments have attracted widespread attention online ahead of the planned march. No official response from the major parties targeted in the remarks was included in the provided information.
