A body believed to be that of a missing elderly woman from the Central Coast has been located at Iron Ladder Beach, Box Head, during a police search on Saturday.
The 79-year-old woman was last seen around 1pm on Thursday, 8 May 2025, on Ocean View Road in Ettalong Beach. When she could not be located or contacted, officers from Brisbane Water Police District began inquiries into her whereabouts.
At approximately 12:20pm on Saturday, 10 May, emergency services discovered the body of a woman at Iron Ladder Beach. While formal identification is yet to be completed, police believe the body is that of the missing woman.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
