Cessnock, NSW – A Cessnock resident has issued a stern warning to the individual who deposited a death threat in their mailbox. The threat was directed at the resident’s rescue dog, which is still adapting to its new home.

In a Facebook post on the Cessnock Community Notice Board, the resident expressed their anger and frustration, stating that putting a death threat in someone’s letterbox is not a light matter. They also highlighted the hypocrisy of the threat-maker, who chose to target a rescue dog while ignoring other noise disturbances in the neighborhood, such as late-night motorbikes and loud cars.
The resident concluded their post by issuing a clear warning to the threat-maker: “If you attempt any sort of violence on any living being on my property or want to throw death threats around you best watch your back.”
The Cessnock community has rallied around the resident and their dog, offering support and condemning the death threat.
