Breaking News: Fire Response at Huntlee Coles Complex

At approximately 6:15 last night, Branxton Fire and Rescue swiftly reacted to an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) triggered at the Coles complex in Huntlee.

Upon arrival, two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatuses, in collaboration with North Rothbury Rural Fire Service, were promptly deployed to investigate reports of smoke emanating from the parents’ change room. Subsequently, a considerable volume of smoke was detected within the premises, extending into the roof space.

Following thorough examination, no fire was discovered. However, it was uncovered that multiple youths riding electric scooters might have engaged in reckless behavior, potentially causing burnouts on the carpet within the change room. This reckless activity led to the accumulation of smoke, dispersing into the roof area.

After consultation with on-site personnel, the area was successfully ventilated by emergency crews, ensuring the safety of all patrons and staff members. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
