Female Drunk Driver Causes Crash – Lambton Rd

About 10:20pm last night (16th March 2020), a Kia sedan was involved in a collision on Lambton Road, Broadmeadow. Police attended a short time later and submitted the female driver to a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.

The 25-year-old female was placed under arrest and taken to Waratah Police Station. She submitted to a breath analysis and returned a reading off 0.172. Her licence was confiscated and immediately suspended. She was charged with driving with high-range PCA and she will appear before Newcastle Local Court at a later date.
