According to a Facebook post by his mother, Donna Duncan, Alex Passfield, who was previously in a relationship with Caitlin Thornton, has gone into hiding following her sudden and unexpected death. Mrs Duncan warned people not to park in the car park across from her house and look for Alex, as he is not staying there and is in a safe house where he cannot be found or visited.
Text messages that were posted on Facebook indicate that Caitlin and Alex had a tumultuous relationship that was fueled by drugs and alcohol. The messages revealed that Alex was planning to enter a 12-week drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, and Caitlin was planning to use this time to move out of their home and start a new life, before her sudden death.
