A motorcyclist has died following a single-vehicle crash in Greta, west of Maitland, this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Camp Road around 4:45 PM on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, after reports that a motorcycle had lost control and crashed into a tree.
The rider, a man believed to be in his 30s, was ejected from the bike and suffered critical injuries. NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, he could not be revived.
Authorities have not yet formally identified the victim.
Police from the Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene, and the motorcycle has been seized for forensic examination as investigations continue.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
