A man from Newcastle has tested positive to Covid-19 after being released from hotel quarantine, it’s understood the man tested negative on day 10 of quarantine and was released on day 14.
He then traveled from Sydney to Newcastle on Sunday where he developed symptoms and tested positive yesterday.
The man and his close contacts have been givin self isolation orders.
