Mayor Jay Suvaal has kicked off a fundraiser to support his re-election campaign for Cessnock City Council. Under his leadership, the Labor Council has made significant strides, with record investments in local roads, parks, playgrounds, shared pathways, and sporting facilities.

As the September 14 election approaches, Suvaal is urging community members to continue backing his team. Supporters can contribute by purchasing tickets for the Cessnock Labor Local Government Campaign’s Mega Raffle.

Tickets are priced at $50, with only 250 available. Prizes include $2,500 in cash, a week’s accommodation at Tuncurry Lakes Resort valued at $860, and a mixed dozen bottles of Wren Wine. The raffle will be drawn on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 7 p.m., or earlier if tickets sell out.
